Mrs. Gilhooley went to college to study biology. While studying,  she had to do a service project working in center-city, Philadelphia, and it became the favorite part of her week. She changed her major to education to become a science teacher. Mrs. Gilhooley loves teaching science because science is constantly changing, and it’s happening everywhere. 

Mrs. Scott originally went to college to study biology, and then after college, she worked at a nature center. While there, she worked with students of all ages, and she realized how much she liked it. She then went back to school to get her teaching certification, and teaching science is what she is passionate about. Her favorite part about science is getting students to think about things differently. 

Mr. Glasson is an outdoors person, and he comes from a large family. He decided to put both of his loves together and teach science to children. His favorite part about science is that it allows him to learn and explore constantly. 

Mr. Jayne started teaching ELA but always wanted to teach science. Once there was an opening in the science department, he immediately applied for the position. His favorite part about science is learning about different rocks and fossils.
