Mental Health Awareness with Mrs. Bruno
On September 10th, 2021, I interviewed Mrs. Bruno about herself and the importance of mental health. Here is what she had to say. “I am Mrs. Bruno, the social worker for our middle school. I am located in the main office in a little room. I have been a social worker for 30 years and at DV for 15 years. I chose social work because I want people to become the best versions of themselves. I want to help anyone resolve the barriers of learning and remove the barriers to get to the root of the problem. I think any topic can become a mental health topic when it becomes an obstruction to your functioning. To feel like you have importance in your life can improve your mental health. That can include focusing on self-esteem, talking to a trusted adult, or doing what makes you happy.” Mrs. Bruno is a great counselor and resource. She is always there whenever you feel you need to talk to someone.
